A causa di un errore in fase di produzione che ha portato alla duplicazione di due tracce nel secondo disco di 'Elvis Fool' il team della FTD capitanato da Ernst Jorgenson e Roger Semon ha avvisato che presto questo disco verrà rimpiazzato...

FTD - VIVA LAS VEGAS IN VINILE

La FTD ha annunciato la prossima uscita del doppio vinile di "Viva Las Vegas" che sarà stampato su speciale vinile di 180 grammi, con copertina apribile e conterrà i master originali della colonna sonora oltre a numerose outtakes.

FTD - CHICAGO STADIUM

La prossima uscita della FTD sarà 'Chicago Stadium' un doppio CD contenente gli show tenuti al Chicago Stadium il 14 e 15 Ottobre 1976.
La qualità audio è buona e Elvis è in gran forma!
Confezionato nel classico digipack piccolo della FTD con l'aggiunta di un libretto di 8 pagine con numerose foto degi show in oggetto.

Sono usciti i nuovi FTD con la riedizione in doppio CD dell’album ‘Elvis (Fool)’ del 1973 ed il CD live ‘Elvis As Recorded At Boston Garden ‘71’.
Il doppio CD ‘Elvis (Fool)’ fa parte della serie ‘Classic Album’ cioè nella riedizione upgradata dei famosi album di Elvis in confezione cartonata a 45 giri, e contiene come sempre l’album originale, alcuni bonus songs e svariate e fantastiche outtakes rare ed inedite.
Il secondo CD contiene il bellissimo concerto tenuto da Elvis il 10 Novembre 1971 al Boston Garden. Questo show è già stato edito nei CD bootleg ‘The Power Of Zazham’ della Captain Marvel Jr. e nel più recente ‘One Night Only’ della Madison ma vista la rarità di materiale relativo al 1971 è da ritenersi un pezzo importantissimo che non deve assolutamente essere perso...

VIVA ELVIS IN VINILE
La Sony Legacy ha annunciato l'emissione dell'edizione in vinile 180 grammi dell'album "Viva Elvis!" ossia la colonna sonora dell'omonimo spettacolo del Cirque Du Soleil.
Il vinile sarà disponibile dal 9 Novembre 2010.

VIVA ELVIS ALBUM CD E SINGOLO

In seguito al grande successo dello spettacolo del Cirque Du Soleil “Viva Elvis” verrà emesso un nuovo CD contenente alcuni brani estratti dalla colonna sonora dello show.
Il CD che si chiamerà “Viva Elvis” e conterrà 10 brani con la voce di Elvis ma con un nuovo e più moderno remixaggio, verrà distribuito il prossimo 8 Novembre in Europa e il 9 Novembre negli Stati Uniti.
Il primo singolo riguardante questa emissione sarà ‘Suspicious Minds’ e verrà emesso il 25 Ottobre.

Pare che la Sony voglia puntare molto su questo nuovo prodotto impegnandosi in una massiccia campagna promozionale e coloro che hanno avuto già modo di ascoltare i brani sono rimasti favorevolmente colpiti dalla qualità del remix che catapulta letteralmente Elvis nel 21° secolo!

L'etichetta tedesca 'H'Art Music-Vertrieb' ha annunciato per il prossimo 15 Ottobre l'uscita del doppio CD economico "Elvis: Rockabilly Years - Just About As Good As It Gets!"

OUR MEMORIES OF ELVIS VOL.3

La Victorola ha prodotto un nuovo ed interessante CD dal titolo "Our Memories Of Elvis Vol.3 - Unfinished Business".
Gli album originali del 1979 furono un progetto di Joan Deary che offriva ai fans un 'Elvis puro' in risposta alle numerose lamentele ricevute dovute al fatto che spesso negli album di Elvis la sua voce veniva 'soffocata' dalle pesanti aggiunte (overdub) di strumenti e dai pesanti mix operati da Felton Jarvis.
Il progetto per 'Our Memories Of Elvis Vol.3' era già in cantiere negli anni '80 ma non fu mai portato a termine.
Ne 2010 finalmente la Victorola ci offre le 13 tracce originali che avrebbero composto l'album con l'aggiunta di 10 tracce rare o addirittura inedite.

ELVIS '77 - NUOVO VIDEO

THE ESSENCE OF ENERGY

In uscita il prossimo 5 Agosto su etichetta Rainbow il CD “The Essence Of Energy”, che conterrà la performance del 12 Novembre 1970 al Coliseum di Seattle, Washington.
Questo show era già apparso nel CD 'The Thrills Goin' On' del 1994 ma pare che i produttori della Rainbow abbiano trovato una nuova fonte, più completa e con audio migliore. Il CD è poi corredato di un libretto di 20 pagine colmo di foto dello show, info e due articoli di giornali che commentano lo show.

La EPE ha annunciato un nuovo interessante progetto discografico che verrà spiegato in dettaglio il prossimo 14 Agosto a Memphis direttamente dalla voce di Ernst Jorgensen.
Questo nuovo progetto dal titolo 'The Complete Elvis Presley Masters' sarà edito dalla Sony e per il momento ecco i dettagli che sono già stati svelati:

- Conterrà ogni singolo master registrato nella vita di Elvis, presentato per la prima volta in ordine strettamente cronologico
- Sarà un'edizione limitata a 1.000 copie.
- 30 CD contenenti 711 registrazioni master originali più 103 rarità.
- Un libro di 240 pagine con la discografia completa
- Il tutto racchiuso in uno speciale box in edizione limitata.

Grandi notizie per gli amanti di Elvis del 1977! Su Youtube è apparso recentemente il trailer di un nuovo box della 'Boxcar' che vedrà la luce prima della fine del 2010 e dall'anteprima - seppur breve - potrebbe trattarsi di un prodotto molto valido e curato.
Per il momento sappiamo che il box conterrà:
